A former nude model was charged with human trafficking after allegedly selling a 16-year-old girl for sex.
Alisa Jaidee, 32, was contacted by undercover police officers on the Line messaging app and asked to procure a teenage girl.
The former Maxim model is said to have sent police dozens of pictures of different young hookers available and agreed to supply a 16-year-old – which is two years under the legal age of 18 in Thailand.
Jaidee arranged for the policeman to pay 15,000 baht (340gbp) for sex with girl at a hotel. She planned to keep 8,000 baht herself and giving the youngster 7,000 baht, according to police.
But the model was arrested as she stepped off a flight at Suvarnabumi Airport in Bangkok yesterday afternoon.
Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Suntiyit Tavorn said Jaidee was ‘’uncooperative’’ and initially tried to throw away her phone after feigning sickness to go to the toilet.
Maj Gen Tavorn said: ”The investigation found that the accused had a clear role in the activity. She was involved in the the division of funds for the purchase of sexual services.
‘’She planned to deduce 8,000 baht for herself and give 7,000 baht to the girl.
‘’Miss Alisa Jaidee was charged with trafficking at Bang Rak police station. The case is now undergoing legal proceedings.”
Police superintendent Colonel Kampol Rattanapratheep from the Huai Kwan station, the force that conducted the investigation, said that because the girl was under 18 she could be charged with trafficking.
He said persecutors had also charged Alisa with ”procuring a girl aged under 18 for a sex service and promoting an underage girl’s lewd act for payment or other benefits’’.
Jaidee was model in Maxim magazine as well as other publications in Asia where she posed nude.
She most recently worked as a lingerie model, performing in online shows and at event promotions.
